Primary Therapist

Nicole Edwards holds a Master of Arts degree from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College and is currently pursuing her mental health license (LMHC) at Florida Atlantic University. She is currently an IOP therapist, utilizing her background as a music therapist, at The Cove Center for Recovery. Here, she conducts both group and individual sessions for those recovering from drug and alcoholism, using music as a catalyst for change.

Nicole believes in the power of music to uplift and motivate clients into expressing their unique individuality, whereby cultivating wellness on many different levels. Application of music in a clinically-directed way within a therapeutic relationship has proven to make a difference for those specifically in recovery. It allows for expression of feelings and memories in a non-threatening, goal-oriented way. Since 2010, Nicole has worked in such settings as hospice, oncology, and various rehabs around South Florida.

Outside of work, Nicole enjoys reading, playing music, and spending time with her family.
